Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Bilingual Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children aged 2-6 in our Mesa clinic, delivering services in English and Spanish. You will work under Masters-level clinicians and implement ABA-based intervention plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (as verified)
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (Proficiency Test may yield higher pay)
• Preferred: degree in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Must pursue/achieve RBT certification (training provided)
• Experience with children preferred
• Reliable transportation to training location and center
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, sit/kneel, etc.

As we strive to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the Bilingual Behavior Technician or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) becomes paramount. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. By joining our team, you'll contribute significantly to our mission-driven care model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to high standards of care.
• Deliver therapy in both English and Spanish to support our diverse client base.
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles.
• Provide bilingual support during family meetings, communicating in both English and Spanish.
• Foster relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child’s progress within the ABA framework.
• Engage in ongoing training and development, staying updated with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (Proficiency Test required for additional pay increase).
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training)
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Ability to work on a team
