Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in both Spanish and English.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, handling receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and accounts to offer bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank and supervisor guidance.
• Aim for monthly new account production as directed by management.
• Participate in an active sales environment with in-store prospecting as needed.
• Process deposits and pay out funds, record transactions, and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks.
• Enter transactions into the computer and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products to customers.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Approval limits will be based upon established authority levels.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; work in high-volume, stressful environments.
• Schedules are prepared based on business needs and may change.
• Operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
