Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent education/experience as an adjuster.
• Must hold a valid Insurance Adjuster License issued by the Puerto Rico Insurance Commissioner.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Multitasking with accuracy.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, service and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze and adjust claims according to policies.
• Examine property claim forms and records to determine insurance coverage.
• Analyze and verify insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
• Investigate and assess damage to property and auto.
• Analyze information gathered by investigation and report findings.
• Prepare investigation findings reports.
• Negotiate auto physical damage settlements with policyholders.
• Prepare documents to process payment or close claims.
• Document steps to request extensions of terms to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner.
