Job summary

New Paradigm For Education, Inc. seeks an Attendance and Engagement Specialist to promote student attendance by monitoring attendance, enforcing laws, and developing prevention/intervention strategies. You will track progress, make referrals, and conduct family outreach in English and Spanish to support student success.

Daily outreach, home visits when needed, and data-driven planning with MTSS/RTI participation are core to this role in the Detroit area.

Qualifications

Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Strong data analysis and interpretation of attendance data.
Experience creating data reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Knowledge of chronic absenteeism interventions and MTSS.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Experience with family outreach and home visits preferred.
Commitment to equity and student success.
Proficient with Office and Google Suite; Excel spreadsheets required.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and interpret attendance data to identify trends and at-risk groups.
Create data visualizations and reports to inform school leaders and stakeholders.
Develop and monitor attendance intervention plans based on data findings.
Present data and recommendations to leadership to support decisions.
Identify and monitor students with chronic absenteeism and barriers to attendance.
Conduct daily outreach to families via calls, texts, emails, and visits.
