Under the general supervision of the District Manager within the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Agricultural Enforcement Task Force, the Bilingual Associate Safety Engineer performs independently a full range of professional safety engineering duties related to construction, electrical, and industrial safety across California. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, accident investigations, consultations, and other journey-level tasks according to DIR-DOSH policies and procedures.
This position is designated as bilingual (Punjabi) and requires fluency in oral and written Punjabi and English. Bilingual skills must be utilized at least 10% of the time, and additional compensation is available upon passing a language proficiency exam.

Location: Cal/OSHA – Agricultural Enforcement Task Force – Lodi District Office, 3021 Reynolds Ranch Parkway, Lodi, CA 95240. Work includes field and office environments, outdoor activities in various weather conditions, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and using personal protective equipment.
Fluency in Punjabi is mandatory; a language proficiency test may be required if not documented.
