Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool is seeking a passionate Assistant Teacher for the 18–24 months classroom in Houston Heights. This bilingual role requires fluency in Spanish and English to support early learning and development in a warm, inclusive environment.

You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher and team to deliver hands-on activities, support routines, and communicate regularly with families, helping every child feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience working with young children in a licensed preschool or childcare setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Support engaging, hands‑on learning experiences using our curriculum and your own creativity.
• Provide warm, responsive care and individualized support to children.
• Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication.
• Work closely with the Lead Teacher and teaching team to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and early learning development.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
