Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool in Houston is seeking a passionate Assistant Teacher for our 18–24 months class. The role requires fluency in Spanish and English and a caring approach to early childhood education.

You will support hands-on learning, assist with routines, and help foster a warm, inclusive classroom. A High School Diploma/GED is required; bilingual abilities are essential. This is a full-time position with great benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English, speaking, reading and writing.
• Experience with young children in preschool/childcare settings.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background in early childhood education desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support engaging, hands-on learning using curriculum and creativity.
• Provide warm, responsive care and individualized support to children.
• Assist with daily routines, activities and transitions.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher and team to maintain inclusive classroom.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and early learning development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming classroom.
