JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Bilingual Appointment Coordinator to coordinate and perform a variety of duties related to appointment scheduling for clinic visits, studies, and procedures. This role typically serves as the first point of contact for patient registration within the Duke Health System.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and coordinate appointment requests, determine appropriate services, physicians, and setting.
  • Identify the correct patient in Maestro Care, verify demographic and insurance data.
  • Notify patients of co-payment requirements and outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate labs and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Notify patients of testing date, time, and location.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles.
  • At least one year of experience in direct patient or public service, preferably in healthcare.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred; bilingual team members are essential for ensuring a seamless experience for all callers.

JOB HOURS

Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
