Job summary

Mutual Trading Co., Inc. is seeking a Japanese bilingual Accounts Payable Clerk in El Monte, CA. The role splits time between accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing payments, reviewing invoices, and maintaining vendor records.

Proficiency with NAV and strong organizational skills are required. Responsibilities include posting payments, bank coordination, and resolving discrepancies. Basic English is required; basic Japanese is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic level English – read/write/speak/listen.
• Basic level Japanese preferred – read/write/speak/listen.
• Associate’s Degree or above required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Microsoft NAV system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process manual and wire payments and update the Company database.
• Review invoices and monitor AP balance; resolve discrepancies.
• Generate and upload daily banking reports and maintain vendor files.
• Post customer payments and coordinate with banks to ensure timely collections.
• Collaborate with finance and sales teams to resolve payment issues.
