Aastha Adult Medical Day Care in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a reliable Activities Assistant (Adult Day Care) fluent in Dari and English to support cultural, recreational, and wellness activities. This part-time role offers 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week, with an in-person schedule Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma, be fluent in Dari and English, and possess comfort with computers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in Dari and English (spoken and written).
• 6+ months’ experience with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Must pass background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging recreational and cultural activities.
• Lead culturally meaningful activities such as music, crafts, games, and storytelling.
• Provide social support and translation during activities.
• Organize daily schedules and monitor participation.
• Coordinate transportation logistics and document outcomes.
