Responsibilities

• Cultivate inclusive relationships with students, faculty, staff and community
• Support belonging and academic success for all students, with focus on marginalized groups
• Foster social and emotional learning through classroom management and discussion
• Teach assigned content (general or specialists)
• Prepare daily instruction and weekly lesson plans per Morris School District policies
• Collaborate with a PLC to improve teaching and learning
• Integrate technology into instruction
• Use district data to analyze progress and differentiate instruction
• Build relationships with parents to update on student progress
• Assign personalized homework and projects per curriculum guidance
• Grade and provide feedback to help students set learning goals
• Monitor and report student progress including academic and social development
• Maintain student records and files
• Set personal and professional goals aligned with district vision
• Attend professional development sessions and meetings
• Follow contract hours and district HR protocols
• Meet requests for additional responsibilities by Principal/Supervisor
