Job summary

Uintah School District is seeking an instructional aide for 1st grade at Discovery Elementary. The position is part-time (up to 29.5 hours weekly), voucher-based, with no benefits.

Applicants must be 18+ and fluent in Spanish, and the role involves supporting at-risk students and classrooms. Required education includes a High School Diploma, with preference for an Associate's degree or 48 semester hours, or the ParaPro test upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree or 48 semester hours of college credit, or willingness to pass the ParaPro test upon hire.
• Experience with at-risk students is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth.
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Assist with data collection.
• Assist with recess and/or bus duty as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all staff to insure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by school administrator.
