Job summary

Four Inc. seeks an experienced BigFix Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise IT issues across servers, networks, storage, and virtualization. You will own incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable fixes while coordinating with engineering, vendors, and customers.

The role requires TS clearance or the ability to obtain TS/SCI, with up to 25% travel. Hybrid work in Herndon, VA is supported, and candidates will engage in health and security-conscious

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in systems/infra/technical support or solutions engineering; 3+ years hands-on BigFix.
• TS clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure and complex issue troubleshooting.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Experience with enterprise vendors and regulated environments preferred.
• Experience with Ansible, ServiceNow, Tableau, MS Office, collaboration tools or CRM systems.
• Technical certifications and experience with major enterprise manufacturers preferred.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations and provide after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical escalation resource for high-impact customer issues and own resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced hardware, software, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable permanent fixes.
• Develop, test, and implement fixes, workarounds, upgrades, and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, vendor, and customer teams to resolve complex issues.
• Support major incidents and after-hours support as needed.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and known issues clearly.
