Job summary

Four Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced BigFix Engineer (Enterprise Technical Support Engineer) to troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise IT issues with a strong BigFix focus.

The role requires TS clearance and involves coordinating with customers, engineering teams, and vendors to deliver effective solutions across servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in IT infrastructure and at least 3 years of BigFix

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in systems, infrastructure, or technical support with 3+ years hands-on BigFix experience.
• TS clearance required, with ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph and customer-specific access credentials.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with enterprise vendors and federal/public-sector IT preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Ansible, ServiceNow, Tableau, MS Office, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical escalation resource for complex, high-impact customer issues, from initial escalation to resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced hardware, software, and infrastructure problems using logs and diagnostics.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions.
• Develop, test, and implement fixes, workarounds, and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, product, vendor, and customer teams to resolve issues.
• Support major incidents and after-hours on-call when required.
• Maintain thorough documentation of troubleshooting, resolutions, and lessons learned.
