Job summary

Big SNOW in East Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Groomer Team Member to help groom slopes, learning areas, and terrain features nightly and on weekends. You will operate a snow cat and assist with light maintenance of vehicles and equipment, while following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and are mechanically inclined with a valid driver's license. Previous grooming or heavy equipment experience is preferred, and night shifts may be

Qualifications

• Acquire the necessary skills to proficiently operate a snow cat/groomer and maintain slope areas.
• Assist with in-field troubleshooting, light repair and general maintenance of machines and tools.
• Learn grooming practices, theory and techniques for slope and terrain features.
• Accountable for safety and good housekeeping in work areas and on equipment.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Heavy equipment experience preferred; previous grooming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily grooming of slope, learning area, and terrain features on hill.
• Operate and assist in light maintenance of all department vehicles and equipment.
• Learn the theory and practice of trail grooming on ski trails and terrain parks.
• Assist with snowmaking and support other trails as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and log activities as required.
• Be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
