Job summary

Epsilon, part of Publicis Groupe, is seeking a Software Engineer to build secure data solutions for social media, search, and digital ads in a Big Data environment. You’ll work with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Spark while embracing DevOps and agile practices to deliver scalable data processing weekly.

The role requires Unix experience, SQL, and a mix of on-prem and AWS migrations as the stack evolves. You’ll join a collaborative team with growth opportunities in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similarly related field.
• Strong development practices with prior experience writing and testing code.
• At least two or three years of experience using Java to build applications.
• Hands on experience working in a Unix environment, including writing Unix Shell Scripts.
• Professional exposure with Spring, Hibernate, Maven and Git.
• Experience with SQL and relational database environments.
• Owns a problem to the end, and works well in a team or autonomously.
• Wants to grow a career with a great company.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex data solutions for high-volume applications, including new systems.
• Create reusable output and processes as you implement each solution.
• Ensure test coverage in support of our CI environment and to drive code quality.
• Use agile and DevOps methodologies to help drive continuous improvement.
• Work with stack including Java, Spring, Hibernate, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Git, HBase, Unix, Docker, Maven, Ansible, Postgres and migration to AWS.
