Job summary

A national recruiting company is seeking an experienced professional to install, configure, and administer Cloudera clusters, both cloud and on-premise. Candidates should have the ability to develop functionality within Hadoop clusters and manage data files in HDFS. Responsibilities include configuring HIVE and Oozie, developing HIVE scripts for data insights, and supporting analytic platforms. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to customer data analytics while working with leading employers across the country.

Qualifications

• Experience administering and tuning Hadoop clusters.
• Ability to design and optimize data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Oozie, Sqoop).

Job Description

• Installing, configuring & administering Cloudera cluster (Cloud or on-prem)
• Conducts performance tests on all environments
• Ability to develop functionality within a Hadoop clusters
• Ability to manage data files available in the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Configuring HIVE and Oozie to store metadata in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Developing HIVE scripts to combine and find data insights
• Utilizing SQOOP to export data insights from HDFS
• This position will be supporting the customer information analytic's platform.
