We are currently seeking Systems Architect with Hadoop experience to join the “Seal Team of Big Data”! This is an excellent 6 to 12 month assignment which will offer you experience and exposure to some of the largest organizations in the industry! Location: US Remote - Northeast (NY/NJ) or Midwest

What you will be doing:

1. Lead requirements gathering, architecture, and design of HDP-based solutions
2. Ability to work successfully across multiple client engagements simultaneously
3. Familiarity with HDP platform including knowledge of MapReduce, HDFS, Yarn, Pig, Hive, Hcatalog, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase, Oozie, Ambari, Zookeeper and related technologies.
4. Significant experience implementing software and/or solutions in an enterprise Linux or Unix environment
5. Ability to compile and install Linux applications, kernel, and kernel modules from source
6. Experience with integrating directory systems such as LDAP and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
7. Strong understanding of network configuration
8. Travel to client sites Mon - Thur (full time pay when not engaged on assignment)

Things you need to have:

1. 2 + years architectural experience with providing services as a Hadoop architect
2. Proven capability of impactful deliverable development
3. 10+ years of deep hands on technical programming and system infrastructure experience with 4 + years of architecture experience
4. 6 + Java programming language
5. Familiarity with HDP platform including knowledge of MapReduce, HDFS, Yarn, Pig, Hive, Hcatalog, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase, Oozie, Ambari, Zookeeper and related technologies.
6. Significant experience implementing software and/or solutions in an enterprise Linux or Unix environment
7. Ability to compile and install Linux applications, kernel, and kernel modules from source
