Job summary

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) seeks experienced data professionals to evaluate datasets and guide analytic approaches for defense and intelligence clients.

You will collaborate with software teams, translate findings for government officials, and drive improvements across geospatial data platforms. Applicants should have 5+ years in data roles, a relevant degree or equivalent, and experience with Python, SQL, Spark, Elasticsearch, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years as data analyst/scientist or similar.
• Experience shaping data evaluations and communicating findings.
• Knowledge of Technical Telemetry data and telecom data types.

Responsibilities

• Perform and develop dataset evaluations to inform government decisions.
• Shape data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements.
• Identify and document gaps in data and analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with software engineers to field requirements.
• Provide SME support to end-users for data/app questions.

• Responsible for performing and developing dataset evaluations and assessments to inform government decision making.
• Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements within our applications.
• Identifying and documenting gaps within our data corpus and analytical capabilities.
• Working hand-in-hand with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application.
• Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar.
• Experience formulating a repeatable process for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.
• In-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest. Data types of interest include Technical Telemetry Data and other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular and wi-fi.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent time-management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• Must be experienced working in fast-paced environments.
• Experience working with Software Engineers to provide feedback and validate the technical implementation for custom applications.
• Experience working with a scripting language like Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark or similar.
• Must be able to work on-site in Herndon, VA, with the ability to work in Springfield, VA as needed.

• Ability to translate technical conclusions and present them to a broader audience.
• Experience conducting geospatial analysis including Activity-Based Intelligence or Pattern of Life analysis.
• Experience applying, improving, and documenting innovative analytic methodologies and ensuring they remain up to date with the latest information.
• Experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Familiarity with Gitlab and the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks or Apache Zepplin.
• Experience working with other intel analysts and/or special operations customers.
