LightSpeed Build Technologies seeks a Preconstruction & Procurement Specialist to translate design takeoffs into complete bid packages and manage subcontractor pricing. You will build and maintain a robust subcontractor network, own final numbers, and drive buyout processes for each project at our Northbrook, IL site.

You will apply our robotic-construction cost model to show cost advantages, manage change orders, and coordinate with production for timely material delivery.

Competenze

• 5+ years in residential construction estimating, preconstruction, purchasing or bid management, with real project costs.
• Experience running bid packages and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Comfort reading plan sets and takeoffs; spot scope gaps before change orders.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with estimating tools like Bluebeam, RSMeans, Procore.

• Build complete bid packages from plan sets, takeoffs and initial estimates with clear scope and exclusions.
• Apply our cost model to show home costs using robotic-construction methods vs traditional builds, including on-site work.
• Turn bids into customer-ready proposals and join pricing reviews as the construction cost expert.
• Buy out approved projects: lock in pricing, issue purchase orders and coordinate delivery timing.
