Job summary

Breede Valley Municipality in Worcester is seeking a Supply Chain Management professional for permanent, full-time Contract Administration. You will manage contracts, tenders, and SLA performance, ensuring compliance with policy, regulations and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in SCM/Logistics/Procurement.
• Computer literacy: MS Office.
• Good analytical, accounting and calculating skills.
• Knowledge of Local Government legislation.
• Valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
• 2 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Implementing functional planning initiatives for the Section.
• Administer annual tenders, deviations, formal quotations and Contracts.
• Co-ordinate the performance of the service providers.
• Facilitate requests for variation and price adjustments.
• Facilitate extension or amendment of supply chain contracts.
• Attend Bid Specifications, Evaluation and Committee meetings.
• Administer all rental agreements and SLAs.
• Attend to Human Resources needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Mitigate risks in supply chain processes.
• Develop and attend to KPIs for the Section.
• Provide input into financial system processes in area of responsibility.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
