Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a BIC Systems Coordinator to support development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of workflows within the BIC technology ecosystem, primarily IntApp Open and related systems. This role emphasizes build support, QA/testing, and operational execution to enable risk management and data integrity firmwide.

Qualifications

  • MS Office proficiency and familiarity with iManage and firm applications.
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in systems, operations, or business technology support.
  • Familiarity with workflow platforms, form builders, and/or enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain forms, workflows, notifications, and supporting configuration within IntApp Open and IntApp Wall Builder under direction of the Director, BIC Operations & Projects.
  • Implement approved changes for departmental and firmwide workflows.
  • Apply standardized patterns and templates to new builds to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Perform functional and regression testing on new and modified workflows.
  • Execute test plans, document results, and track defects through resolution.
  • Validate integrations, edge cases, permissions, and data flow impacts before promotion to Production.
  • Support deployment and post release validation of platform changes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application behavior and configuration related issues.
  • Maintain operational documentation, quick reference guides, and release notes.
  • Support other business professional groups building on BIC owned platform components.
  • Ensure builds and configurations adhere to BIC standards for risk management, data integrity, and auditability.
  • Escalate design, governance, or risk concerns to the BIC Systems Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize or streamline repeatable platform work.
  • Participate in upgrade cycles, testing windows, and platform maintenance activities.
  • Build knowledge of BIC business processes, risk frameworks, and downstream dependencies.

BIC Systems Coordinator

Cooley is seeking a BIC Systems Coordinator to join the Business Intake and Conflicts team.

Position summary:

Under the supervision of Director, BIC Operations & Projects and working alongside the BIC Systems Manager, the BIC Systems Coordinator supports the development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of workflows, forms, and platform functionality within the BIC technology ecosystem, primarily IntApp Open and related integrated systems. This role is execution focused and designed to support BIC's expanding role as a firmwide platform owner, enabling other departments (e.g., AML, Information Governance, Audit Committee, IP/Patent/TM Operations, Pro Bono) to safely and consistently leverage BIC owned workflows. The position emphasizes build support, QA/testing, and operational execution, allowing senior resources to focus on design, architecture, and risk oversight. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position responsibilities:
Platform Build & Configuration:

Quality Assurance & Testing:
  • Perform functional and regression testing on new and modified workflows
  • Execute test plans, document results, and track defects through resolution

Operational Support:
  • Support deployment and post release validation of platform changes
  • Assist with troubleshooting application behavior and configuration related issues

Cross Department Enablement
  • Support other business professional groups building on BIC owned platform components
  • Ensure builds and configurations adhere to BIC standards for risk management, data integrity, and auditability
  • Escalate design, governance, or risk concerns to the BIC Systems Manager
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to standardize or streamline repeatable platform work
  • Participate in upgrade cycles, testing windows, and platform maintenance activities
  • Build knowledge of BIC business processes, risk frameworks, and downstream dependencies
  • All other duties as assigned or required
Skills and experience:
Required:
  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (e.g., systems, operations, or business technology support role, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with workflow platforms, form builders, and/or enterprise applications
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience with IntApp Open or similar workflow platforms
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies or structured testing practices
  • Prior experience with IntApp Wall Builder or similar access control systems
  • Exposure to legal, compliance, or risk oriented business environments
  • Comfort working with structured data, validations, and system dependencies
  • Comfort with data analytics

Cooley offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package and is committed to fair and equitable employment practices. EOE.

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $30.50 - $45.00 ($63,440.00 - $93,600.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
