Dungarvin is seeking a Bi-Weekly Live In Direct Support Professional / Behavioral Support in Tacoma, WA. The role involves 7 days on/7 days off with a wage of $19.65 per hour, plus full benefits and overtime pay for live-in support.

You will provide direct support to individuals with I/DD, assist with daily living, meals, and mobility, and implement positive behavior supports. The position requires a driver’s license, 18+ years old, and relevant caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.

• At least 1 year caregiving experience with I/DD.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals in daily living.

The DSP (caregiver)is responsible forproviding direct support, hands-oninstruction,assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of serviceobjectives, and personal goals.

The live-in model allows for structure in a client's home environment. Our Live-in model is a 7 day on/7 day off schedule. You willbe requiredto live in the individuals' home-on location and will be paid 16 hours a day (minus any unpaid break time). Live-inDSPswork approximately two weeks per month and earn full-time pay plus overtime! Bi-weekly compensation will be for 105 hours (25hoursof which are paid at a rate of time and a half). You will also be paid for any interrupted sleep time, if applicable.Live-inDSPsare also provided with a weekly food budget during yourweek on. You will receiveone7-hour break during your scheduled shift.

**All off time must be spent off location - the individual’s home cannot be your primary residence**

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents whilemaintaininga safe and healthy environment
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Provide mobility and transferassistance, which mayinclude usingmechanical lift devices.
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed.
• Other duties as assigned
