Job summary

Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer to support the ER BI team. You will design and deliver BI solutions, perform deep dives on safety metrics, and translate data into actionable leadership insights.

Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data access and governance while maintaining high ownership standards. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of data analysis with modern data stacks, strong SQL, and experience in visualization tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared).
• Experience with scripting language (Python, Java, or R).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex problems.
• Conduct deep dive analyses and formulate conclusions for leadership.
• Identify opportunities to drive analytical reporting and business strategy.
• Produce written recommendations and insights for stakeholders.
• Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and data-driven activities.
• Partner with Data Engineering to enhance data infrastructure and access.
• Develop best practices in data integrity, analysis, and documentation.
• Learn new technologies to support product and process innovation.
