Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to lead analytics for Middle Mile Transportation in Nashville. You will produce insightful analyses, build visualizations, and translate data into actionable strategies impacting cost and delivery efficiency.

You will work with cross-functional stakeholders, develop predictive models, and drive data-driven decisions across high-volume, low-latency transportation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field.
• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.
• Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling.
• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
• Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale.

Responsibilities

• Generate insightful analysis, reporting, and data visualizations to answer critical business questions, proactively identify notable trends, and communicate business performance
• Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders while proactively identifying new areas of opportunity to drive further improvements
• Apply expertise in data mining and modeling leveraging multiple data sources to uncover unique insights, identify key performance drivers, and build predictive models
• Work backwards from your end-customer to define, design, and execute each work item with an emphasis on improved metrics, productivity, and efficiency
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
