Job summary

Amazon is seeking a data-driven professional in Seattle to join our AWS Infrastructure Services analytics team. You will analyze vast datasets, build dashboards in Tableau, and deliver actionable insights to business leaders.

The role requires 5+ years in data analytics or related fields, strong SQL and ETL skills, and experience with data sources across supply chain domains. A Master’s degree in statistics or data science is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Analyst, or related role.
• 5+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
• 5+ years of using SQL, ETL, or Oracle.
• Experience with operations/supply chain.
• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable BI metrics, reports, and dashboards.
• Work directly with customers to understand business problems and propose analyses.
• Collaborate with data engineers to develop automated solutions.
• Develop a deep understanding of data sources and identify relevant data to solve problems.
• Prioritize BI requests, allocate work, and communicate with customers.
• Create user-friendly, repeatable reporting solutions to reduce ad hoc requests.
• Serve as senior SME for SQL and visualization tools like Tableau.
• Write high quality SQL to analyze data from relational databases (Redshift).
• Manage and improve internal data communication channels (wikis, data dictionaries).
• Apply statistical analytics and languages such as R, Python, Ruby.
