Business Intelligence (BI) Developer – Tableau

We are seeking a skilled BI Developer with strong Tableau and SQL expertise to backfill a recently vacated position. This role is critical to the continued development of our enterprise reporting and analytics platform and will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the insurance business.

Role Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Continue development and enhancement of the existing Tableau-based BI and reporting platform.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Architect to design and implement meaningful data visualizations.
• Leverage the enterprise data warehouse for building reliable and accurate reporting solutions.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable reports and dashboards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Tableau expertise – proficient in designing, developing, and optimizing dashboards.
• Advanced SQL skills – capable of querying large datasets and optimizing complex queries.
• Insurance industry experience is essential – must understand business workflows, data relationships, and reporting needs specific to the insurance domain.
• Ability to grasp the “why” behind reports – must understand the business context, not just the technical requirements.

Team Collaboration:

• Will be supported by a Data Architect and a database developer.
• Expected to work cross-functionally to align reporting with both business goals and data architecture.
