The Virginia Department of Elections seeks an Azure Business Intelligence Developer with 3-5 years of experience to work with an existing software development team on an ongoing project. This role involves working in an Agile/Scrum environment to design, develop, test, and support data-driven solutions, including scalable data warehouse and business intelligence systems, applying principles of data architecture, integration, and analytics. Experience with cloud-native data warehousing platforms, ETL development, and enterprise data management is required.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years designing, developing, supporting enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory
• Experience with cloud data platforms like Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric
• SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
• Experience with star schema data models, fact/dimension tables, metadata documentation
• Data visualization/reporting tools, especially Power BI Service
• Understanding of data governance, quality, and lineage principles
• Experience integrating data from various sources (relational, flat files, APIs, cloud storage)
