Job summary

IBM Consulting in Baton Rouge is looking for a Data Engineer - Business Intelligence to design, build, and manage web-based BI reporting solutions that empower users with personalized features and intuitive designs, enabling seamless toggling between reporting and analysis tasks.

You will create dashboards and scorecards, integrate BI platforms, and ensure secure delivery of reports across web, email, portals, and file servers while optimizing performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building web-based BI reporting solutions with personalized features and intuitive design kits.
• Experience integrating BI platforms to toggle between reporting and analysis tasks.
• Experience developing dashboards and scorecards using BI tools like Cognos, Actuate, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Click.
• Experience distributing reports through web, email, portals, and file servers.
• Technical skills in SQL, data analysis/visualization, and EDW; BI technologies certification preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience as a Data Engineer-Business Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design and build web-based BI reporting solutions with personalized features and intuitive design.
• Integrate BI platforms to enable seamless toggling between reporting and analysis tasks.
• Develop and manage dashboards and scorecards for data analysis and distribution via multiple channels.
• Manage distribution of reports and BI solutions to stakeholders securely and timely.
• Optimize solution performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain a smooth user experience.
