Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support the day-to-day operations, quality, and delivery of enterprise data and analytics solutions, with a focus on cloud-based platforms and growing into more technical development responsibilities over time.

The role involves triaging requests, QA testing, releasing notes, and building documentation while contributing to ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouses, data quality, governance, and semantic datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Foundational knowledge of data engineering concepts and database systems.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Basic familiarity with Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau).
• Familiarity with Cloud Data Platforms (Databricks/BigQuery/Snowflake).
• Understanding of OOP/Functional paradigms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage support channels (tickets, shared inbox, MS Teams).
• Maintain recurring operational duties (report subscriptions, data quality checks, environment health).
• Automate routine tasks including system maintenance and alerting.
• Perform QA testing on development work prior to release.
• Generate release notes and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
• Contribute to data dictionaries and process documentation.
• Fulfill ad hoc data requests and support lightweight analysis.
• Monitor solution utilization and trends over time.
• Assist in scoping/grooming requests using AI tooling for documentation.
• Contribute to ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouse, cloud infrastructure, data quality/governance, semantic datasets, and DevOps CI/CD.
