Job summary

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Business Analyst in Dallas, TX, to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, and automate processes for accuracy and efficiency.

The role serves as a liaison between business leadership and technical teams, turning operational needs into actionable data models, ETL logic, and reporting outputs. Requires strong SQL and Power BI skills, plus Agile/Scrum experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills including writing and optimizing queries, stored procedures, views, and joins (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports preferred.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide leadership with real-time operational visibility into KPIs.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views to support analytics and business logic.
• Develop Python-based automation workflows to reduce manual effort and improve data processing efficiency.
• Design and support ETL pipelines to extract, clean, and transform data for analytics and BI workflows.
• Manage Power BI workspace permissions, data refreshes, and automated scheduling via Power Automate.
• Create ad hoc reports and analyses to support business decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance, and executive leadership to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
