Job summary

SBT is seeking a Business Intelligence professional to join its BI team in Oregon. You will own the design and delivery of decision-grade Power BI reports, partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, and work with Data Engineering to optimize data models and transformations.

You will ensure data accuracy, document definitions, and create training materials to enable self-service analytics across the organization. This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data roles
• Proficiency in SQL, including techniques such as CTEs and window functions
• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse concepts
• Power BI proficiency (DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and dashboard design)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models supporting business functions
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into reporting solutions
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating source data, monitoring report outputs, and documenting assumptions
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define analytical requirements and contribute to data model design
• Support self-service BI users through communications, collateral, and training materials
• Document KPI definitions, data lineage, and reporting assumptions to support consistency
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve refresh reliability
