Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks a Senior BI Analytics Manager to lead a team of report developers and analysts building scalable data and analytics solutions for global operations.

You will guide architectural design, mentor staff, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure governance across analytics platforms, including Power BI, Snowflake, and data quality tools, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in data analytics.
• Proven leadership of medium to large data/analytics teams.
• Experience with web services architecture and security.
• Track record of managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience with multi-vendor, onshore/offshore resource management.
• Experience with Power BI, Qlik and Spotfire.
• Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of data catalog, ingestion, and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Transform data into actionable insights and communicate results to influence decisions.
• Lead design, architecture, and development of analytics solutions, including low-code/no-code options.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication of findings.
• Provide hands-on mentorship to developers and analysts.
• Oversee development estimates and project execution across teams.
• Ensure compliance with AbbVie policies and governance for analytics platforms.
• Establish COE and governance for analytics solutions integration.
• Deliver with minimal supervision and maintain program oversight.
• Mentor a team of internal and external BI professionals.
