Job summary

Everest Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer for a 12-month contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years) to plan, design, and test a large reporting environment in a hybrid Portland, OR setting.

The role emphasizes Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, and Visual Studio work. You will translate client requirements into actionable BI solutions, develop and refresh reports and dashboards, and ensure timely delivery within project milestones.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with the listed BI tools and reporting suites.
• Strong ability to translate client requirements into actionable BI features.
• Proven design, development and testing for analytic reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical team members and customers to translate user requirements into functional capability.
• Perform project technical requirements; design, development, and testing tasks for fixed and analytic reports.
• Develop static and dynamic reports from a three-tier client-server app with web server, app server, and SQL database."
• Write scripts and modify Visual Studio templates for customization of check-in policies, reports, and testing.
• Create and modify existing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
• Troubleshoot and address report interoperability issues in web-driven apps using SQL backend.
• Develop customer-focused BI analytics solutions.
• Develop presentation layers in line with customer requirements and best practices.
• Act as a point of contact to ensure milestones are met and escalate when needed.
• Provide issue resolution in coordination with team lead and project manager.
