• Stand up observability so Financial Planning Plus sees failures before customers in VA do.
• Lead technical design reviews for mid-level technology initiatives.
• Decide when to buy Hadoop versus build it for Financial Planning Plus's Charlottesville, VA stack.
• Drive adoption of best practices in testing, security, and observability.
• Own the fun-loving Professionalism subsystem that the rest of Financial Planning Plus quietly depends on.
• Wire Hadoop APIs to Team Leadership consumers so data lands where Charlottesville teams expect it.
• Work closely with data teams to surface insights from production systems.
• Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput Financial Planning Plus workloads.
