Job summary

Brown Advisory is seeking an experienced Operations professional to support the reporting needs of our most complex clients. You will own Addepar-based processes, on-board large client relationships, and partner with investment teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

In this role you will generate multi-period reports, analyze positions and transactions, troubleshoot issues, and advance data governance. A fast-paced, client-first environment awaits in our DC-area office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; finance, accounting, or economics concentration preferred.
• Experience using Addepar and Canoe required.
• Advent/APX, eFront or similar accounting product experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
• Excel proficiency with macros and v-lookup functionality.
• Solid understanding of private equity and hedge fund securities, real assets, and market mechanics.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Office location five days weekly.

Responsibilities

• Own all operational processes within Addepar, the firm’s new supplemental portfolio accounting system.
• On-board large client relationships with complex alternative asset holdings in partnership with client teams.
• Lead alternative transaction back builds for large and complex relationships.
• Create new alternative assets with investment teams for timely reporting in the portfolio system.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for large client relationships.
• Analyze investment data, including portfolio positions and transactions, to drive reporting accuracy.
• Troubleshoot reporting or process errors and implement solutions.
• Manage projects to improve reporting content and advance business goals.
• Document key operational processes and data governance.
• Develop industry insights through networking, conferences, and independent research.
