Job summary

The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania is seeking a BI Analyst to join our analytics team. You will build dashboards and reports in Power BI, collaborate with stakeholders, and help shape how the organization uses data for smarter decisions.

You’ll write SQL, perform data modeling, and apply data warehousing concepts while maintaining documentation and supporting self-service reporting. A Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in BI are required, with strong communication and local travel as

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years in BI, analytics, or business analysis.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data governance concepts.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI using DAX and Power Query.
  • Write and tune SQL queries; support data pipelines and integration with a BI developer.
  • Apply data warehousing concepts and manage report security, refresh schedules, and performance.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and self-service reporting adoption.
  • Handle ad hoc analyses and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job description

Location: Central Pennsylvania (must reside in PA) - mostly remote, with occasional on-site meetings (roughly quarterly)
Compensation:$65,000-$75,000 (up to $80K DOE)

Join a growing analytics team helping business leaders make smarter, faster decisions. You'll build the dashboards and reports that stakeholders rely on every day, and help shape how the organization uses its data.

What You'll Do
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, using DAX and Power Query for data modeling
  • Write and tune SQL queries; support data pipeline and integration work alongside a BI developer
  • Apply data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schema) and manage report security, refresh schedules, and performance
  • Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and glossaries; support broader adoption of self-service reporting
  • Handle ad hoc analysis requests and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
What You'll Bring
