Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in psychology, social work or related health field required or relevant experience
• Valid driver's license required
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire for NC/GA residential/inpatient sites

Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures the quality of services delivered by the BHTs
• Provides supervision, training and support to staff
• Communicates with the clinical team regarding patient needs and documentation
• Leads meal support, milieu activities, client outings and skills coaching
• Coordinates unit activities and orders supplies within site budget
• Provides timecard and PTO management; maintains schedules
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Overview

The BHT Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to the inpatient and residential Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring that a therapeutic and recovery-oriented milieu is maintained. The BHT Manager provides supervision, coaching, and role specific training to BHTs, consistent with the The Emily Program clinical philosophy and programming models, as well as to general standards of professional behavior. The BHT Supervisor provides staff performance feedback, including annual performance evaluations, and supports ongoing skill development.

Schedule

• 1.0 FTE, (40hrs/wk) working 4 - 10hr Overnight shifts.
• Rotating schedule which can included Saturdays and Sundays
  • Exact scheduled to be determined in collaboration with BHT Manager
• 1 day per week on-call requirement and on-call weekend rotations
• Holiday Coverage as needed

Compensation

• BHT Supervisor starting salary range: $55,000 - $58,000

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

How BHT Supervisors Empower Recovery

• Monitors and ensures the quality of services delivered by the BHT including but not limited to groups, meal support, and milieu management
• Provides supervision, training, and support to new and existing staff
• Communicates with the clinical team regarding patient needs and behaviors, and maintains clinical documentation as needed
• Participates in provision of meal support to clients during meals and meal outings, leads milieu activities, transports clients and supervises patient outings, and provides skills coaching when appropriate
• Coordinates unit activities and outings and orders related supplies in adherence with site budget
• Assists clients in crisis as needed, including providing skills coaching to clients
• Facilitates room and common area searches as needed
• Ensures staff performance is consistent with their job description, Accanto Treatment Philosophy, Accanto policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures clinically competent care delivery by observing BHT led groups, BHT / client interactions, and reviewing documentation
• Provides performance feedback and completes annual employee performance reviews
• Maintains employee timecards in payroll system, ensuring the correct hours are accounted for, overtime is managed, and paid time off requests are promptly addressed
• Creates or oversees creation of BHT schedules
• Manages PTO and other requests, ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained
• Provides BHT backup coverage, including group coverage as needed
• Supports implementation of company-wide and site-specific initiatives
• Demonstrates excellent clinical customer service using therapeutic communication skills to build strong client relationships and improve outcomes
• Drives clients, staff, and supplies in the company vehicle as needed
• Weekend rotation on call duties
• Performs other duties as assigned

Other Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
• Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
