Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring for a driver/clinical support role at our outpatient facility. You will provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, transport clients, assist with admissions, meals, and supervision, and help maintain a warm recovery environment.

You will engage clients, monitor safety, handle transport schedules, and perform administrative duties while following all policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year sobriety if in recovery.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
• Experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and elevate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary
• Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggage
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification required
• If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
• Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
• Dignified character that models recovery principles
• Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Extensive knowledge of all motor vehicle laws
