Job summary

The Brunswick School Department is seeking a Part-Time Nordic Ski Head Coach for the BHS Athletics program in Brunswick, Maine. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of Nordic skiing and a proven track record of working with high school athletes, while meeting Maine DOE background and coaching certification requirements.

Experience with varsity or JV level coaching and a demonstrated commitment to developing sportsmanship and student-athlete growth is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current background/fingerprinting certificate through the Maine Dept. of Education.
• Extensive knowledge of the given sport and proven ability working with high school athletes.
• Previous coaching experience at varsity/JV/first team level preferred.
• Commitment to growing the sport in our community and fostering a positive student-athlete experience.
• Must attain MPA Coaching certifications listed (as above).
• Must have, or be able to attain, First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Job Description

Previous coaching experience associated with level (varsity, jv or first team) of this position is strongly preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate interest in and ability to grow the given sport in our community.

Candidates must demonstratecommitment to fostering a positive and meaningful experience for every student-athlete in their program.

Candidates must be dedicated to developing sportsmanship, setting high standards on and off the field and connecting with their student-athletes.

Candidates must have, or have the ability to attain, MPA Coaching certifications in:
