Job summary

ERMC Aviation is seeking a skilled Baggage Handling Conveyor Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated baggage handling systems at OMA Airport. You will work in a fast-paced environment with hands-on roles and growth opportunities.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with PLCs. Non-exempt, full-time, with varied shifts and strong safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLCs and control systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Previous experience in conveyor systems or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; ability to obtain security clearance as required.

Job Summary:

Standard Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
• Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
