Job summary

ERMC Aviation is seeking an experienced BHS Technician Supervisor to lead maintenance and repair of automated baggage handling systems at DAL. You’ll supervise a technician team, perform inspections, and drive reliability and safety.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, collaborate with operations and engineering, and respond to emergencies while maintaining documentation and training for staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in baggage handling systems or industrial maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Baggage Handling System (BHS) Technician Supervisor to lead and oversee the maintenance and repair of automated baggage handling systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring system reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a team of technicians performing maintenance and repairs on BHS conveyor systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
• Monitor the established site quality, safety, training and inventory control processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and team performance.
• Train and mentor technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with airport operations and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and critical system alerts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in baggage handling systems or industrial maintenance.

Standard Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
• Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
