Job summary

ERMC Aviation in Kentucky is seeking an Apprentice Baggage Handling System Conveyor Technician to support maintenance and operation of automated baggage handling systems. You will learn hands-on with senior technicians in a fast-paced airport environment.

Training and growth opportunities are provided; no prior experience is required. Candidates must be able to work A.M. or P.M. shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Standard Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in cramped or high places.
• Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
