Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Supervisory Social Worker (GS-13) to lead two BHIP teams within the Outpatient Behavioral Health Division in Columbus, Ohio.

The role combines clinical leadership with program management, ensuring timely evidence-based care for Veterans and data-driven quality improvement. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating clinical services, and presenting outcome results for reporting at VISN/NEPEC levels.

Qualifications

• Master's in social work from CSWE-accredited school.
• Full current license to independently practice at advanced level.
• Experience with supervisory duties and program management.

Responsibilities

• Direct administrative supervision of all staff on the teams they lead.
• Monitor access to timely therapy services and treatments for Veterans.
• Review policies to ensure performance measures related to access and clinic utilization.
• Ensure timely completion of program evaluations and required documents.
• Provide staff training and development and support quality improvement.
