Job summary

PATH (People Acting to Help) Inc. seeks a skilled supervisor to lead the Behavioral Health/Developmental Disability Residential Treatment Facility for Adults in Philadelphia. You will ensure evidence-based practices and coordinate care across psychiatric, medical, and social services.

  • PA Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed psychologist) strongly preferred; eligible for licensure required.
  • Training/certification in Functional Behavioral Analysis or other evidence-based practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee BHDD RTFA program operations and quality of care.
  • Ensure compliance with OMHSAS memos, CBH/DBH/NIAC requirements, and related regulations.
  • Collaborate with residential team to provide comprehensive support for residents.
  • Directly supervise BHDD Supervisor, Therapists, PSR Specialists and Residential Behavior Specialists.
  • Oversee admissions, assignments and discharge; maintain census of residents (8).
  • Ensure access to psychiatric, medical, social, financial, and other services.
  • Ensure trauma-informed care and recovery principles are applied.
  • Oversee evidence-based practices for holistic services addressing cognitive disabilities and behavioral health needs.
  • Provide ongoing staff training for advanced care with trauma and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Job SummaryTo promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by managing an effective team to provide quality services. Responsible for the overall supervision of the Behavioral Health/Development Disability Residential Treatment Facility for Adults. Ensure Program utilizes Evidence Based Practices. Work collaboratively with providers to develop comprehensive support for individuals with co-occurring I/DD and behavioral health needs who may experience complexities associated with neurodevelopmental issues, trauma, and challenging behavior. Work closely with community residential treatment providers for successful discharge of individuals served in the RTFA.
Physical DemandsMust be able to participate in and appropriately apply and train staff in approved crisis response techniques.
QualificationsMasters or Doctoral degree in Behavioral Health Clinical Discipline required. Experience including supervisory in the provision of behavioral health and/or intellectual treatment. Experience in Acute Inpatient or subacute service preferred. PA Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed psychologist) strongly preferred, eligible for licensure required. Training/certification in Functional Behavioral Analysis or other Evidence Based Practices preferred.
Specific Duties
  • Effectively operate the BHDD RTFA program
  • Implement and maintain compliance with OMHSAS’s Memo dated November 1995 titles: Requirements for Licensure of Residential Treatment Facilities for Adults; PA Code Chapter 5100; Title 55 PA Code Chapter 5310: Community Residential Rehabilitation Services, and CBH/DBH/NIAC requirements, and any updates to regulations and/or bulletins.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with any relevant regulations for the provision of services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities included within the Office of Developmental Programs Community Homes for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Regulations; 55 Code Chapter 6400, Chapter 51 Intellectual Disabilities Services and CBH/DBH/NIAC requirements.
  • Collaboratively work with members of the residential team to ensure all residents receive the most appropriate treatment to meet their needs
  • Directly supervise staff, which can include the BHDD Supervisor, Therapist(s), Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist(s), Peer Specialists and Residential Behavior Specialist(s).
  • Oversee admissions, assignments and discharge of residents.
  • Maintain program census of 8 residents.
  • Ensure individuals gain access to needed psychiatric, medical, social, financial and other appropriate services.
  • Ensure psychiatric treatment and consultation.
  • Ensure trauma-informed care and recovery principles are provided.
  • Oversee evidence-based practices for holistic comprehensive services and interventions to address cognitive disabilities, behavioral health symptoms and the need for habilitation support.
  • Ensure ongoing comprehensive training for staff to develop and enhance skills related to specialized populations and their complex issues related to trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, brain injuries, and physical health conditions.
