Position Overview

The Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organization (BHASO) Project Manager will serve as a key connection between UnitedHealthcare Community & State Health Plan Clinical Operations and the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration. The BHASO serves all Individuals in the Colorado UnitedHealthcare Community & State Health Plan Medicaid Region. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Colorado Community and State Chief Behavioral Health Officer, the BHASO Director, and other departments to support the success of Colorado's BHASO program, overseeing contract requirements and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage BHASO contract compliance, ensuring all requirements are met and deliverables are submitted on time and with quality.
2. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to monitor program design and performance indicators.
3. Prepare and present reports on program outcomes, strengths, and areas for improvement.
4. Support continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and trend reporting.
5. Establish methodologies for rapid cycle evaluation and program enhancement.

Qualifications

Required

• At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health services.
• Minimum 2 years of provider customer service experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong process improvement skills and experience managing change initiatives.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for meetings.

Preferred

• Colorado behavioral health provider licensure.
• Over 3 years of program administration in behavioral health policy and community integration.
• Experience with performance monitoring strategies.
• Expertise in behavioral health modalities and system optimization.

Soft Skills

• Ability to organize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely within Colorado, adhering to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. The salary range is $89,800 to $176,700 annually, based on experience and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and a 401k plan.
