Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant I to support patient comfort and safety under RN delegation, following the hospital model of care. You will work with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a culturally sensitive, age-appropriate manner.

You will perform clinical tasks as directed, maintain confidentiality, and help orient patients through the hospitalization process while upholding safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0-1 years of experience required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks as delegated by the RN and in line with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Orient patients and families to the hospital environment and facilitate communication throughout hospitalization.
• Ensure patient and unit safety and comfort, including hygiene and documentation per policy.

Care is culturally sensitive and age-appropriate, and all duties are delegated by a Registered Nurse according to Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.

Clinical:

Perform clinical tasks assigned by the RN, adhering to Ohio Board of Nursing delegation guidelines. Maintain patient confidentiality.

Leadership & Accountability:
