Job summary

XLR8 EMS is seeking a detail-oriented Solder Rework Operator in San Clemente, CA to perform precision soldering, rework, and repair of PCBA. You will work with BGAs, QFNs, and other advanced packages, applying IPC-7711/7721 and IPC-A-610 standards.

Responsibilities include manual desoldering, reballing, pad repair, and inspection using AOI and X-ray equipment, with emphasis on quality, traceability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years hands-on soldering and rework in PCBA manufacturing.
• Strong experience with BGA rework and replacement processes.
• Proficient with soldering fine-pitch components (QFNs, BGAs).
• Familiar with IPC standards and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual soldering, desoldering, and rework per IPC and company standards.
• Execute BGA rework including removal, pad prep, reballing, and reinstallation.
• Inspect reworked assemblies with AOI, X-ray, and magnification tools.
• Maintain defect logs and support CAPA and root cause analyses.
• Follow ESD and safety protocols; train junior operators as needed.
