Job summary

The Valley of the Sun YMCA seeks an Enrichment Leader to direct and coordinate the 21st Century Community Learning Center After-School Program at Edison School of Innovation. You will ensure health, safety, licensing standards, and quality youth development activities for K-8 students.

Work with program staff to deliver engaging activities using established curricula, while maintaining records and supporting partnerships with Dos Rios Elementary and other sites.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Fingerprint and negative TB clearance.
• Current state approved first-aid certification.
• Documentation of high school diploma or equivalency.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a minibus to transport children.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of youth ensuring positive engagement and child safety.
• Preserves quality condition of all supplies, equipment, materials, and cleanliness of site.
• Develops positive relationships with children and parents through daily communication and interaction.
• Works closely with site director to plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, following the established program schedule.
• Assists site director in maintaining all pertinent site records, files, and other required administrative procedures, ensuring their licensed childcare files and trainings are up to date and accurate.
