The role focuses on advising private funds, handling fund formation and regulatory matters, and working directly with partners and clients on transactions.

Job description

LHH is assisting a highly regarded midsize New York City law firm in its search for a Private Funds Associate to join its established funds practice.

For more than 50 years, the firm has advised private funds and investment managers across a wide range of investment strategies. The associate will work on sophisticated matters involving hedge funds, credit funds, venture funds, commodity pools, and real estate funds.

The Role

This is a lean, collaborative practice where associates work directly with partners and clients rather than operating in a silo. Responsibilities will include:

• Advising private funds across a variety of investment strategies
• Handling fund formation and regulatory compliance matters
• Working directly with partners and clients on fund formations and transactions
• Collaborating with the firm's Tax, Corporate, and other practices to provide comprehensive counsel to fund clients
• Taking on meaningful responsibility in a client-facing environment
